Katie Spaeder is a Senior Auditor for the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Inspector General (DHS OIG) where she leads cybersecurity audits. Prior to joining DHS OIG, she worked for the Department of Defense where she held auditing and change management positions. Her work has contributed to improvements in wide array of federal processes and programs, including intelligence reporting, contracting, and emergency management; and has been recognized by the Council of the Inspector General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) for excellence in audits.

Ms. Spaeder holds a BA in Accounting degree from Penn State University and is an active member of the Penn State Alumni Association. She is also a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, and Certified Government Financial Manager.
