On Thursday, October 8, the AGA Boston Chapter hosted its October Seminar at the McCormack Building in Boston. The event brought together 94 attendees from across the government financial management community for a highly productive day of professional development and networking.
Participants successfully earned 6 CPE credits through five comprehensive technical sessions designed to address current industry challenges.
Technical Program Highlights
- Baker Tilly opened the morning with two critical presentations: an insightful look at how fraud can happen when good people make bad choices, followed by a practical framework for optimizing procurement, P-card, W-9, and vendor management processes.
- BerryDunn delivered a timely analysis of digital accessibility readiness and a strategic session emphasizing organizational alignment prior to executing major business transformations.
- CLA concluded the day’s educational program with a comprehensive overview of evolving cybersecurity risks, current trends, and modern mitigation solutions.
Community and Networking
The midday luncheon, catered by Florina’s, provided an excellent forum for attendees to reconnect with peers, exchange ideas, and build new professional relationships across organizations.
